Michael Walmer has had a lifelong interest in books, and has worked in bookshops and libraries in the United Kingdom and his native Australia.
His publishing experience started with legendary avant-garde publisher Marion Boyars in London, as her sales manager, in 1993.
This relationship gradually developed to include editing and scouting for new publications to assist in developing her challenging list.

Having established his new company in his home state of South Australia, he has re-emigrated to the UK, specifically the west coast of Shetland, where the company will enter its second phase.

He will continue to publish books by authors lost to the current viewfinder, from recent times and those longer ago, who have special meaning for him. These authors are also selected as being those whose voices should be more readily heard, and who extend vitally the literary canon.
